Order entry & modification Open : 09:00 hrs
Order entry & modification Close : 09:08 hrs*
*with random closure in last one minute. Pre-open order matching starts immediately after close of Pre-open order entry.
Regular trading session
Normal / Limited Physical Market Open : 09:15 hrs
Normal / Limited Physical Market Close : 15:30 hrs
That means Normal market opens at 09:15 AM to 03:30 PM and pre open market is opens at 9:00 AM to 09:08 AM according to Indian Standard Timings (IST +5:30)

Why Indian Market Timings are different from other country’s timing?
The reason behind this question is due to difference in country timings.
Consider US and India. When there is day in the US, India is sleeping due to Country Timing.
Then how can we trade at that odd timings.
